9-13 June 2010
Stockholm Early Music Festival (SEMF)

"...perhaps the most superior festival we have in Sweden..."
(Aftonbladet)

While Stockholm prepares for its Royal Wedding, the magical setting of the old town is once again the stage for the ninth SEMF festival - Sweden’s international scene for early music. Enchanting music, the spellbinding beauty of the early Swedish summer – an unforgettable experience.
The critically acclaimed counter tenor, Philippe Jaroussky and Bach’s masterpiece The Art of Fugue with Ton Koopman are just some of the highlights to look forward to. Listen to the Soloist prize-winner, soprano Ida Falk-Winland and Gesualdo’s madrigals and discover the music of the female byzantine composer Kassia! And don’t miss the drama of the final of the Nordic competition EAR-ly 2010! It is never too late for early music!

It is never too late for early music!
